BFing isn't going so well, unfortunately. I was doing what they told me to do, and only topping with 40-60mls formula but she was still screaming because she was hungry, so I went back to giving her the full 100mls, which she was happy with. I managed to express 100mls of breast milk for her, but she only slept for a 2 hour period afterward, and she's been used to sleeping the 4 hours on the formula. I still BF when I can, even though I know she's not getting everything she's supposed to be getting from me. :(
My Nanna was unable to breastfeed because her milk didn't have the required nutritional value or the supply for it, and I believe my Aunt couldn't BF either for the same reasons. I guess some people can do it and some people can't.
Oh well, you had a go and what ever is best for Kira is best for you!!
Hope you're not beating yourself up over it!!
